Finally, we accompany the registration of your vehicle with the cantonal road traffic office – until you hold your Swiss licence plate in your hands.
Insurance certificate and reference number
Registration requires an insurance certificate based on the reference number (Stammnummer). The reference number is created by Swiss customs on import and appears on form 13.20 A. The electronic insurance certificate is valid for 30 days.
Keeping an existing plate
If you already have a Swiss licence plate, you can reuse it for your imported vehicle – simply tell your insurer. Interchangeable-plate solutions are also possible.
Everything well coordinated
We prepare all documents and coordinate transport, customs formalities and appointments so that your car is on the road as quickly as possible. The MFK inspection and the registration itself are carried out by the cantonal road traffic office – we accompany you throughout. The complete import usually takes 3 to 4 weeks.
